Be Our Guest

Stop and relax. The Spring Creek Guest House has been lovingly restored to its original 1920’s charm. This private house is nestled in the rural Flint Hills of Kansas near Eureka. While enjoying the rarity of the Flint Hills, you will be able to relax with a variety of activities sure to take you back to a simpler time. Enjoy fishing at nearby ponds. Observe wildlife and birds. Enjoy the mile long walking trail and hike in the adjoining prairie.

This get-a-way is a perfect escape for families, crafters, scrapbookers, quilters, birders, Christian groups, historians, and retired folks who want to escape to the country side. As a guest you will find most of the modern world is left behind. Families will find board games and books as replacements. Guests will find the charming simple qualities of the house are complete with a taste of the 21st century and a TV/VCR stocked with movies.

The guest house offers simple modern conveniences such as a full kitchen complete with microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. From the screened in front porch you can see and hear the water of Spring Creek gurgle.

Those with an appreciation of western history will enjoy the opportunity to walk by a set of historic wooden cattle shipping pens. From this set of railroad pens thousands of cattle were shipped to market in the early part of the 1900’s.

Keep in mind the Spring Creek Guest House is not a bed and breakfast. You may bring food to prepare or carry out from several area restaurants. However, a welcome basket with a few yummy Kansas products is provided.
